On 9th March 2023 Energy Cork hosted a Lunchtime Briefing featuring Sibyl Scharrer, Renewable Energy Hamburg. The Briefing was moderated by Energy Cork Chair Dr Paul Leahy.

On 8th December 2022 Energy Cork was  pleased to host a  Lunchtime Briefing on the Race for Global Energy Leadership featuring Una Brosnan of Mainstream Renewable Power.

On 3rd February 2022 Energy Cork hosted the first Lunchtime Briefing of 2022 featuring Andy Fox of SEAI and Alice D’Arcy of STEAM Education Ltd.

On 9th November 2021 Energy Cork’s final Lunchtime Briefing of 2021 featured Tom Lynch and John Manning of EI-H2 on the topic of Green Hydrogen.

On 25th November 2021, Energy Cork hosted Lunchtime Briefing featuring dCarbonX. Dr John O’Sullivan outlined how the company is developing essential offshore subsurface assets to deliver the Energy Transition.

On 15th July 2021, Energy Cork hosted Lunchtime Briefing featuring DP Energy It was introduced by Harry O’Farrell the Acting Chair of Energy Cork and attendees heard from Simon De Pietro, Adam Cronin and Yvonne Cronin of DP Energy, based in Cork.

The Cluster was delighted to host a major conference on Energy and the Circular Economy in March 2021. With the sponsorship of Cork Chamber and support of Cork City Council and Cork County Council, the very successful three-day event, heard from a host of speakers about their organisation’s vision for and place in the Circular Economy.

The event took place in three 90 minute sessions over 3 consecutive days and dealt with three different strands of the topic:

• Turning waste to energy – including agriculture
• The circular economy in practice – buildings, transport, heat
• The circular energy economy & the Just Transition
