A Network Fit for Net-Zero – Lunchtime Briefing on 16th January 2025
Energy Cork was pleased to host our latest Lunchtime Briefing – A Network Fit for Net-Zero: Making the Most of Cork’s Renewable Energy on 16th January 2025.
The Briefing heard from Patrick Calnan of Reasire and David Noronha of EirGrid plc and was moderated by Energy Cork’s Chair Dori Tallent. The event was opened by Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Dan Boyle.
Attendees heard about the challenge of incorporating more renewable electricity generation – onshore and offshore – onto the Irish electricity grid, curtailment and constraints on renewable energy generation and potential solutions to these issues.
